Our Programs
Youth Development Workshops
THYPI takes an interactive approach to education, ensuring youth actively participate in their development. We offer workshops at our local resource center and in participating schools, focusing on high school juniors and seniors. Our program equips students with essential life skills, including financial literacy, credit awareness, decision-making, and personalized five-year plans to guide their transition into adulthood.
We identify and address individual challenges, assisting with college, trade school, or career readiness. By working closely with parents, we create a strong support system. Our structured plans serve as road maps, helping students stay on track and adjust as needed.
Recognizing a rise in youth depression during and after senior year, we’ve developed a workshop to ease this transition. We provide career assessments, financial education, and practical resources like ID and bank account setup. With proper preparation and guidance, we empower youth to confidently navigate life after high school.

Resource Center
Our Community Resource Center for Youth is essential for providing young people with a safe and supportive environment where they can access educational, career, and personal development opportunities. Many youths face barriers such as lack of mentorship, limited access to technology, and insufficient career guidance, which can hinder their growth. Our well-equipped resource center offers tutoring, vocational training, mental health support, and recreational activities, helping to keep youth engaged and away from negative influences. By fostering skill development, leadership, and community involvement. The center empowers young individuals to reach their full potential and contribute positively to society.
Computer Lab
THYPI Community Computer Lab plays a crucial role in bridging the digital divide by providing access to technology and educational resources for youth who may not have computers or internet access at home. It serves as a hub for learning, skill development, and job opportunities, empowering students, and job seekers to enhance their digital literacy. By offering free access to computers, software, and training, the lab fosters inclusion and economic growth, ensuring that everyone youth—regardless of their background—has the tools they need to succeed in an increasingly digital world.
Counseling
We believe in helping the whole person. Youth face many challenges that may cause emotional scares, dysfunctional world views and behaviors. We encourage our youth to talk it out. This gives youth the opportunity to express how they feel and learn new ways of dealing with issues. We use local clergy and licensed counselors to provide counseling that is confidential and in a safe environment.
THYPI’s 2024: A Year of Milestones and Community Impact
We are proud to reflect on an incredible year filled with growth, new initiatives, and meaningful connections. Here are some highlights of what we achieved together this year:
THYPI assisted 11 high school seniors in improving their GPAs, enabling them to graduate successfully. Additionally, 36 students benefited from our “ My 5-Year Plan” workbook, helping them to set and achieve their future goals.
Launched the “Warm Your Hearts and Hands” Winter Program
In partnership with McLain High School, we hosted our first-ever “Warm Your Hearts and Hands” event. This initiative allowed us to provide 240 winter accessory sets—including hats, scarves, and gloves—to those in need. It was a heartwarming success!
Summer Entrepreneur Training Program
This summer, we empowered 11 students to learn the fundamentals of entrepreneurship. Over two weeks, participants created their own products, developed business plans, marketed their creations, and even made sales. Watching these young entrepreneurs shine was truly inspiring!
Secured Our First $10,000 Grant
We are thrilled to have received a $10,000 grant from the George Kaiser Family Foundation (GKFF) for our after-school program’s computer lab. This funding allowed us to purchase additional Chromebooks and printers, enabling us to serve more youth and enhance their learning experience.
Expanded Community Outreach
We partnered with Trinity Hills Apartment Complex to bring a two-week after-school program directly to their community. With Chromebooks and snacks in hand, we made tutoring and resources for the students there accessible , ensuring every child had access to educational support.
Back-to-School Support
In 2024, we distributed 150 sacks filled with essential school supplies, including spiral notebooks, loose-leaf paper, folders, pens, pencils, glue sticks, color pencils, erasers, calculators, and index cards. We also handed out 75 backpacks and donated $500 worth of school supplies to a new teacher at Central High School to support their classroom.
Thank You!
None of these accomplishments would have been possible without the support of our community, partners, donors, and volunteers. Together, we are building a brighter future for our youth, one initiative at a time.
Here’s to continuing this impactful work in 2025!
